It's a Thursday. Why do I have this feeling that time is flying by too fast? The next thing you know, it will be a Sunday. Oh speaking of Sunday, 'Beats Encore' will be performing for Clean & Green Week this Sunday at 8.30 am onwards. So catch our performace, if you happen to pop by for the event. 'Beats Encore' by the way is the new name for Percussion Ensemble.
Had breakfast with Aisyah in the morning. Not an everyday habit to eat during the first break out but Beats Encore had a mini collaboration with the EMP crew so that justifies the time for the early feast. I have not seen Aisyah for so long, though we are in the same school, so was pretty happy to see her after so long. Miss you girl :)
Performance started at around 12.30 pm at Cafe 155. To be honest, I had no idea what we were suppose to do so it was more of a 'let's just whack anyhow' scenario. That's what we always do right? Haha. The whole Beats Encore family wasn't there cause the crew wanted only 3 people to perform with them. We ended up with four cause Mummy wanted to play with us. Sharime was on the Congas, Tim and Mummy Eliza took turns to play the Baby Djembe and Tambourine while I was hooked onto to my Baby Djem. Now it's supposingly Daddy Djem cause we have three different Djembes and they all come in three different sizes, large, medium and small. What??
My overall rate for the small mini performance? 3 out of 5 star beats cause we didn't practice with them at all so it was very impromptu. We just did alot of fill ins and also we went off beat alot of times. I think I should call the group 'Off Beat Encore'. Just a suggestion. :)
Had a small jamming session with Tim and Sharime after school. We were whacking the drums for fun. It was already 6.30 when we left the room. Tim left earlier for some meeting but he left his sweater in the room where we had our jamming session. Thinking we do him a favour, Sharime and me went over to where he was to return him back his sweater.
We found him in the middle of a so called meeting. Being the ass I always am, I invited myself in and their advisor was kind enough to let us in. I wanted to see a mini show from them since they were actually thinking of setting up 'improv comedy IG'. Sharime and me agreed we would leave around 7 pm but we ended up playing the games with the group! We played a few games with them, if I could recall what they were called, Dubbing, Slow Family and Super Heroes? Yeah it was something like that. It was fun indeed for me cause I always loved comedy and also I'm deprived from my Drama days. I miss drama alot. Maybe I should try to find myself in the group again...
Went off around 8 plus. Had a fun time with the group and it was our first time with them. Went home straight and met up with a few of my friends under some void deck. Today was a pretty tiring day though we didn't have any sessions. Now I'm excited about tomorrow. Will be going Jalan Raya with the G.I.G family. Well, not really but at least the main people are there to make me feel 'in'
