"Abandon ship. Abandon ship"

Ah, the typical command for, obviously, abandoning ship. You could probably hear those lines when it comes to some movie. Oh, the point is, I never did abandoned my blog just in case you thought I did. Well, I wouldn't blame anyone for assuming that because my frequency for blogging now is pretty much longer than before. I only blog of I have the time and also if I have something interesting to blog about. Damn. Ain't that pretty obvious. Damn, that was just random.

The past few days has been.. cool I guess. Actually, I forgot what happened in the past few days. I mix up my days easily. Shows how much time flies. I never did understand why must it be 'fly'. Why can't it be 'running' or 'escaping'. Come to thing about it, just imaging someone saying "let's just sit here and let time escape us by" Sounds funny. Fine, stick to flying.

I remember clearly that I have been working for the past two days. That's for sure. My off days from school is a Friday. Long weekend I must agree but I've decided to work my ass off since I'm SO FREE. Well, for now yes. I don't know what's going to happen in the weeks to come. I hope nothing gets clash cause I hate it when then happens. Shit happens I understand but hell is not somewhere I wan to go to now.

Its been 3 months now, and I'm enjoying what I have. No additional clue to what this 3 months thing is all about but I guess you would have guessed what I'm talking about if you're not that dumb. Trust me, I don't know how many people still think that we are in the 'process' Ain't it a little bit too obvious. I did try going 'professional' once but we stopped half way when we found out that we can't keep our hands off each other. Sounds wrong but I meant it in a good, nice, romantic, sweet way. I'm not thinking dirty, and so shouldn't you.

School has been okay. Nothing great yet. Found out that 93 people signed up for Percussion. That is a really big number. I wouldn't be surprised if half the group left cause some people join for the wrong reasons. But a smaller group is easier to manage. Been there, done that. Somehow I feel the group is expanding too fast. Well, thats a good thing. But too fast may be a bad thing too. People might be lagging behind and that is not a nice thing to do. I don't know what the hell I'm saying but that's my point. I love my group. Oops.

There was this module which thought me about the difference between advertisement and publicity. I'm not too sure what the name of the module is but it has something to do with advertisement. I think it was called creative advertisement. Besides that point, the main difference for the two words is that in advertisement, its paid. Publicity isn't! So what other way to promote our ensemble than to make headlines news. I was kidding about that part. The only time we would come into the newspaper is when we can beat the hell our of Rhythm Masalah and Wicked Aura which will take years to do. They are good.

Some of the kids went with me on a crazy idea to play at the canteen. I was telling myself, "Don't give a fuck lah who want to make noise about us making noise in front of them" So there we were banging the drums and making ourselves heard thats for sure. A few people clapped at the end of the unannounced performance but it was not about promoting, yet. Its more of just showing that there are crazy people around hitting drums to make music.

The SLA fiesta was pretty good. Heard from the rest that there were about 40 people who signed up for the group. Enough for months to come. Hope the figure reduces a little and maintains at that number cause too many will also be a problem, in terms of instruments as the school will not provide more for us to play. What a pity.

Cut story short, cause I'm pretty beaten up, the guys went to Mediacorp for a rehearsal and than thats it. I don't wish to remember the event before reaching the place... Damn

Before we head down to some serious issues (like no), this is a picture you got to see...

Beats Encore at Sentosa

From left to right, bottom to top (if you don't understand that, go to school). Naq, Dila, Niza, Emma, MC, Mummy, Arifah, Nabil, Tim, Ash, Apiz and Yahya. Enough of the Sentosa thing, more updates soon!

Now back to some serious issues. Actually, there is no serious issue. I just felt like saying that to make myself happy. What? I'm too carefree to the point I don't know what is serious. At times, that is. Work has also made me realized something about me. If I put it in the most 'polite' manner, "Fuck lah, do what you want to do. As long as I see my pay at the end of the day, I'm already satisfied"

Don't get me wrong. Its not that I hate my job, in fact, I love it. Its just that some people, who are deprived from happiness, make things unpleasant making work more 'fun'. I've gotten immune to people that whenever they say fuck, indirectly, it sounds like hello in my ears. Supervisors giving me problems? Hell no. I think they are the people that make me look forward to coming to work with a good attitude, besides the girlfriend.

(And for God's sake, I don't blog about my girlfriend! At times maybe, but I don't blog about her! I just mention her cause she just so happens to be in my life. Smacks heads!)

I always wonder why people blog about their love ones. I mean, its really sweet that you do that but I prefer not doing it cause whatever we share is amongst us. That is much sweeter. At times maybe you can mention a thing or two but mentioning to much of it sounds a little like obsession. (And like as if I'm not overly obsessed over my girlfriend)

Sleep is calling now. The bed is waiting. I have things to do and thats more than enough to make me want to sleep more. I've got work! And work involves drums! Woohoo! Updates soon! Catch me, if you can!

Its official that this is the 3ooth post for this blog. It would be more if I had constantly updated it but I never did realized that I could talk so much about life. Actually, that is alot to talk about life if you didn't realized that. Besides the point, I'm going to do something a little different today (to celebrate the 300th entry, macam faham (like can understand)) I'm going to do a draft for the MYRP website. If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, honestly, I don't even understand myself. Cheers.

From school events to musicals to making noise in shopping malls, Beats Encore (Percussion Ensemble) has traveled a long way to come to where it is now. Just recently, on April the 21st, Beats Encore was invited to do a show in Sentosa. It was purely coincidental that the Head Supervisor of Attractions, Juliana, bumped into one of the members who was carrying his drum to Sentosa one day. After much planning, she gave the green light for the ensemble to perform.

Threatened but unpredictable weather, the spirits were up as the members proceeded to entertain passerbys with their catchy beats and even asking the audience to join in the fun. After half an hour of show, the ensemble headed up into an open aired auditorium to play to an even bigger crowd, 2500 people from all walks of life. The ensemble ended their show with one of their favorite songs 'Rasa Sayang'. A local malay song.

The ensemble even managed to catch the attention of the Prime Minister who was there to see the show, Song of the Sea, a new attraction in Sentosa. After a nights hard work of making music for the masses, the ensemble headed back to home to take their much needed rest. Sentosa is now in the process of actually working the ensemble to play on a long time basis for them. The ensemble is working hard towards achieving an even stronger team. Our sincere gratitudes to the people that made this happen. An experience never to be forgotten.

The people who were busy making music were Fadilah, Nabil, Naquiah, Niza, Eliza, Arifah, Yahya, Tim, Matthias, Emma, Ash and Hafez.

Then again, this is just a draft. Woohoo!

Saturday, April 21, 2007 @ Saturday, April 21, 2007 +

Finally, after months of non stop bitching, scolding, nagging, playing and whatever verbs you can come up with, Beats Encore has finally reached a point where they can turn back and say "Hey, I'm proud of where I am now"

Tomorrow, Beats Encore will be performing in front of 2500 (if there is a full house which I think they will be) people from different parts of the world. I would say, I am honored to be part of the ensemble to do this. Joining the tribe would be three ex members of Percussion Ensemble, Chris, Ash and Emma. Special appearance by MC (Mat Cina) whose real name is Matthias. Full force? Most probably. Happy? Extremely excited though I am feeling like I'm missing an important thing somewhere.

The week has been great. The commitments are not there yet. Friends are a plenty though I don't usually stick to a group. Work has never been better, and I have not started on my projects yet. Smoking is constantly going up and down the pie chart but I'm doing something about that.

I've just realized something. Not that I didn't know this before but people, in general, choose who they want to be with and who they rather be with. No offense but that was something really random. Thought I just say that. Something else really random, I'm out of cash again. And don't get me started on where my money went. I seriously need to invest in a small notebook to record my spendings. Not that I don't want to, I don't have the time. Then again, I don't even try.

Life is interesting as it is. I have a supervisor who called me in the morning and ended up joking about my mail box message. Met my good friend for lunch. Work was pretty much cool except the fact that the people were not there and the girlfriend wasn't around to put smiley on the yellow face but still tolerable. People say I blog about her often. Err, I don't really think so, but its understandable.

Either ways, I'm back to where I begun. Err, that again was really random. I'm off to sleep now cause the Doinkness is getting to me. I'll see when I see you and when I feel like seeing you. OOps.. Randomness is getting to me. Ooops. Thats like the same like I used before. OOPs.. Now thats the same word!

School. Ah yes. Back in school. The same old shit we have to go through. Everyone hates coming back to school. Suddenly knowledge becomes a burden in life. Aww, come on. It ain't that bad. School started two days ago on Monday and its already the mid week. I was suppose to have a break but some people from ORG decided to be funny and started to mess around with my timetable. I will not rant more about that cause it makes me mad each time I think about it. But nevertheless, I still hate the idea that I'm a nomad.

School has been okay so far. Familiar faces can be seen and slowly the notorious level is going up. The naughty naughty people of STA are a really crazy bunch and I just love them. But trust me guys, it won't really last long. Once you guys have your own commitments, everything will slowly drift away. Not that I'm scaring you but its most likely to happen unless of course you all decide to have the same IG in the school which is pretty rare to see.

Beats Encore is soaring in the sky now. Not that everyone can see but its pretty good at the rate we are going. Coming Saturday we will be performing at Sentosa and that's one of our milestone event or might I say highlight of this year. Over the pass few months, we have achieve quite a number of notable performances worth the mention. And the performance for OSG FOP 07 was one of the best I ever had. Singing, dancing, performing in front of 1000 freshies is an experience not to be forgotten and will always be remembered in my life as a Republican. I'm proud for the group's achievement and I surely did leave them as promised, after a successful year.

07 looks clear now and I'll have to start doing some serious work. Everything is a little shaky now. Its true that they say the year 3's will eventually tame down and start focusing on their work load but at the rate I'm going, I'll probably be up to my nonsense again. Off to sleep now cause the legs are tired after all that swaying during drum practice.

CHeerSSadsfvwehben I just felt like doing that.

When they told us that we will be having a 9 week holiday, I was telling myself, "Damn, thats really long". But surprisingly, the 9 weeks is already up and it feels like as though the 9 week holidays started yesterday, literally. School reopens tomorrow and 8000 'ants' are going to school at the same time. And they want us to be early for class. Yeah right.

The holiday period was spent on work, and lots of leisure time. Come to think of it, I don't really recall doing much during the holidays except spending most of my time with the girlfriend. I'm trying to recall the longest time I never spent time with her after school closed for the holidays...... 2 days? -_- (Thats like Aisyah's trademark face. Haha)

Good things happened during the holidays thats for sure. Recently, Beats Encore performed for the Freshmen of RP and hell yeah was it an experience I will never forget. I've never felt so good performing in front of a thousand students. The experience was so good, I want to do it again. Its not like an everyday thing you get to see people supporting what you do. But its all thanks to the naughty naughty people of STA. I just love the year one kids. That was one of the lines I kept using during the day camp. And yes, it got stuck to me. I like...

Met my old friends during the holidays. The outing with Janice and Gurmit was one of the best reunions I had. Pity I never did had a chance to meet people like Joanne and Veejay. It would have been a blast to have met them too and now I'm wondering what they are up to. Holidays were good, school sounds better.

From now on, I'll have to adjust the clock within me cause I've been an owl for the past few weeks. Morning is not the thing for me and the night is when everything cool can happen. I think much better at night thats for sure. I'm glad the girlfriend is around to give me motivation to be in school and also she is in the same class as me. Woohoo! Okay that's the end for today.

I'll be updating on a regular basis now. Cheers

What is the use of having a blog if you don't update it?

Maybe that's like one of the many questions I get when I never update my blog. My sincere apologies to the people who frequent my blog. I know you all hope to see an update after pressing F5 but I have been really busy for the past few days. That is such a lie. But since I have decided to blog about practically nothing here, I might as well update my dear friends out there who are 'dying' to find out what I've been up to.

If you heard rumors that I've been in Sentosa well yes, I've been working in Sentosa for about 2 weeks now. I think. I'm not too sure but its somewhere along that line. I'm attached to the new attraction called Songs of the Sea. If you're asking me now what the show is all about, I will tell you honestly that I don't know how to explain in the correct SOP (standard operation procedure) answer. Everyone expects a different answer each time so I change it constantly according to how dumb the guest are. Ooops. Some want to hear it as the new musical fountain show while other want to know why they close the God damn musical fountain for a ticketed show?! Err, do I look like someone who would want to take your money. Well, you're indirectly paying me that's for sure but I wouldn't be interested to know if you would want to go for a ticketed show.

But anyways, that's it. I'm sleepy now. Bye...

The title reminded me of Craig David's song featuring Sting from Police. I was blog hoping when I came across endless emotional entries, from different bloggers who pose as carefree people when met face to face. So are blogs really punching bags for people who seek shelter? Somehow I feel sympathetic towards these bloggers, partly cause I know them personally. I don't usually blog hop to unknown territory unless I'm that curious to find out more of the person. I don't have that much of leisure time to spend.

I'm glad my life is good. Not all the time but I love what I've been doing. With her of course...
