Its times like this you wised you never had a bed cause I swear I heard my bed calling out to me every 10 minutes. If it had a voice it would probably be saying, "Hafez, come get me". Yeah, I know, it sounds damn wrong but I think you get the idea of it. Trust me, I gave in to temptation every time. I'm talking about the bed damn it.
So, I skipped Raheem's house today cause I was busy. Well, yeah, technically cause I had to do some assembling at Sonny's shop BUT, here's the best part, my bed was still calling out to me when I was just about to leave home. There you have it, giving in to temptation. I called Sonny and told him I wasn't coming down and there I was waiting for time to just pass me by. I'm such an arse I must admit.
Picked up the girlfriend at Woodlands and we slowly made our way to the Esplanade to catch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We had free tickets to watch the show and I must admit, we are very lucky indeed to have the chance to catch the show. The tickets are #$%^&*(*&^%$# if you were to buy it off Sistic. Trust me, things you watch at the Esplanade are expensive but worth the effort selling Slurpee just to get a glimpse of the show there. Out of 10, I would have given the show 11 points.
Familiar faces there and the atmosphere was very homely. You could see families together and the kids were running around. The show started off with a bang with the orchestra. I was trying to explain to her where the orchestra was cause you can only see the conductor's head. Loads of dancing and singing and not forgetting very lovable characters. The set was one of a kind. Nothing compared to any musical I've been and the car? The car was super duper cool! I was jumping, well not really but I was bouncing up and down in my chair when the car was flying. I swear I would watch it again, IF I had free tickets of course. I'm not going to tell you the story, you'll have to go find it out yourself but if you intend to watch the musical, I suggest you do it before it ends! Lovely indeed!
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Chitty Bhitty Bang Bang. The song is still stuck in my head and the... Okay, I shall stop it here then. Yes, Esplanade staffs are a pain in the asses. Sue me if you must but as a visitor of the Esplanade, I think they ought to have some respect for the guest too even if we are not paying ones. Come on, I know we are Singaporeans but don't we deserve the same treatment as any other guest in the theater. I shall not comment about what they said but I think its just not worth it making a guest feel shitty after a very good show. Makes people think if you're ushers or just plain crowd control people. Even the people in Sentosa treat their staffs better. That's all for now.
And yes, if you think I ought to get a complimentary ticket for my well thought comment, feel free to call me at 1800-IWANTTOSEE-CCBB. Looks wrong. Its the acronym of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang....
