Listening to the acoustic version of
Rick Price's Heaven knows. Songs like this makes me feel all mushy I must admit. Why can't artist come up with songs like this nowadays? I just don't see why there is such a drastic change in this musical era. Must be the environment we live in. I don't know. Any suggestions? Okay, I'm going back to
Lemar's Tick Tock. Nice song.
Just a
random picture that I took weeks ago, during Drama's barbecue outing. I've got no idea who the couple is but I just like the position they are in the picture as a whole.
The View...I spent the whole day at home today. Was suppose to go to Natasha's house but had to be home to take care of my brother and to clean up the mess in my room. Had plans to go to grandma's house too but that didn't happen as well because we couldn't possibly be carrying a sick boy around with us now, can we.
So I
behaved myself and cleaned up my wardrobe. It took me three days to finish up the mess. Today was the third day and I'm glad its done and over with. Now to maintain it for as long as I can. I have this habit of leaving it untidy if I don't have the time to clean it. That's pretty bad. Next on the cleaning schedule was my cupboard which I thought needed some doodling on it. So I did a little drawings here and there to make it
mine.
Before...
After...I actually have more drawn on the cupboard but I was lazy to snap a picture of it. I dropped the idea of continuing doing the doodling session cause I wasn't really in the mood to draw. I usually do my best when I'm in the mood. I wanted to use acrylic paints but I lost my whole box of it. Must be somewhere hidden behind some files but I just couldn't find them anywhere in sight. Soon, it will be done. Ah, that soon word. Just doesn't seem to work.
So feeling artistic all of a sudden, I decided to snap pictures of my toys.
Bikes...
and Bikes...So after the whole artistic phase I was in, I decided to do my own little research on
Scofield's tattoo design. Apparently, it was design by the same tattooist who designed the tattoo for
Red Dragon. He is
Tom Berg, famous for his grayish tattoo designs and those Gothic creatures. Take a closer look at the tattoo then you would know what I'm talking about. If all fails, go
Google him. You'll get to see his works. And the best thing is, his portfolio was stolen from his tattoo shop. Now, who would want to steal his portfolio. Damn it. I would!
So I extended my research and found more interesting things about Scofield's tattoo and how it was done. And now, there's even this thing called the
temporary tattoo sleeve. I don't know how recent it is but it comes in mostly
Celtic designs which I think is really
cool. If you're forever young that is. Just imagine this, no don't imagine, it will happen. You're in your 60's and with those sagging skin, you walk to a nearby shop. What would the mats think?
"Waa, datuk rocks lah. Tattoo macam baju"
I wouldn't want to be in that scenario. But then again, I'm talking about temporary tattoos here. So I wouldn't have to face that. I furthered my
studies at the
Miami Ink website and I found even cooler, bigger tattoos. I seriously think people spend hundred on such designs. Thousands maybe? For a lifetime design. And the leading woman, Kat, her works are wonderful. Why doesn't she want to be an artist, on canvas instead. She would be the next best portrait artist.
I guess, its nice to sit at home sometimes. I'm hardly at home I must say. You get to do so much and also learn things too at the same time. Its been awhile since I played with my brother and we did play soccer yesterday together under the block. Continued the soccer mania when my old friends came in to play with us. Yes, I suffered a serious leg cramp in the morning. Its been ages since I last played soccer. But then again, youth ain't forever.
Before we part, I just love this picture..
Up close...Was watching Channel News Asia and I saw this photographer who does black and white portraits of woman. His pictures were of cause much stronger in terms of impact to the audience. I think its hard to portray good pictures in black and white. Though it may seem easy but in fact, its hard. Its not all about getting rid of the colors, but instead more of getting the right subject to fit the bill. This picture was taken in class while I was trying out my camera focus.
I love this picture is because, firstly, I love the subject in the picture. Secondly, just look at those eyes. Its like as though she was saying, "what's that?" Those curious, wondering eyes. At the hint of her lip goes well with it. The hair also adds some depth to the whole thing. That's why I just love this picture.
This was taken months back but I just took it out after watching that short story about the photographer. This wasn't staged too. I just snapped pictures of her while she was doing her work. She knew I was taking pictures but she didn't stop to pose. Not even a second. So I guess I found something new to work on. I want to work on people's facial expressions. Hmm, maybe on my next project....
